Call for Proposals

Closed

Michigan Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (MITESOL) invites professionals involved with English learners to submit proposals for our annual conference, to be held at Washtenaw Community College (4800 E Huron River Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48105) on November 12, 2022.

The theme of this year’s conference is Reawakening Purpose, Motivation, and Joy. MITESOL is looking for specific proposals on how those of us in the field have rediscovered ways to motivate ourselves, each other, and the students we serve. Our theme of Reawakening Purpose, Motivation, and Joy reflects the need to acknowledge that many of us find ourselves reinventing, or reimagining, our purpose as educators and individuals. How have you stayed grounded to your love of education, and how has your vision changed? What techniques or tools do you use to spark joy in your environment? MITESOL will consider proposals on other topics, as well. Please submit your ideas!

MITESOL 2021 invites proposals related to all aspects of ESL/ELL. That means ESL in diverse contexts, including recent research, teaching, learning, standards-based instruction, assessment, language policy & advocacy, CALL, program administration, and professional development.
