Awards through MITESOL:
Michigan Marckwardt Travel Grant
Graduate Students -- Apply now to have your TESOL conference pre-registration fee paid! Apply for the Michigan Marckwardt Travel Grant at the same time you apply for TESOL's Albert H. Marckwardt Travel Grant*
This award honors Albert H. Marckwardt, a distinguished educator from the University of Michigan and Princeton University who helped shape the community of language scholars and teachers.
Criteria
Applications are evaluated according to the applicant's:
(a) scholarship
(b) personal attributes
(c) involvement in and commitment to the profession
(d) financial need
Preference will be give to applicants who have served MITESOL in some capacity, such as volunteering, presenting at conferences, or serving on committees.
*A recipient will be chosen from among the TESOL applicants who were not awarded the grant from TESOL. Note that the deadline for applying for TESOL's Albert H. Marckwardt Travel Grant is November 1.

After submitting the above application, send one copy of your TESOL Marckwardt application information (excluding the letter of recommendation); a cover letter stating your membership in and service to MITESOL; and 2 professional references with contact information to:
